Abstract


Analysis of Teacher Career Development at SDS Kampung Sawah Jakarta. Thesis Management Study Program, Jakarta Triguna College of Economics Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the implementation of teacher career development in terms of aspects of promotion as well as to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors for teacher promotion in Jakarta's Private Elementary School. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data processing stages namely through data analysis, data reduction, data display, verification, and increasing the validity of the results. The results showed that teacher career development had been fulfilled namely in the elements of education, learning / guidance and certain assignments. However, in the element of continuing professional development the teacher still has difficulty in realizing the sub-elements of scientific publications and innovative works. So this has an impact on the delay in the promotion of teachers. Teacher supporting factors in a career are (1) self-motivation, (2) support from school leaders, (3) peer support, (4) guidance from services to students, (5) guidance from related agencies. While the inhibiting factors of teachers in a career are (1) limited competence, (2) cultural barriers, (3) limitations in fulfilling credit lift, (4) administrative barriers, (5) teacher personality barriers.
